Quick take
A low-profile baitcaster with fast 8.1 gear ratio and five bearings for quick retrieves and responsive control.
The 13 Fishing Origin R1 is a compact size 100 baitcasting reel with an 8.1:1 gear ratio and right-hand retrieve, built on a fastback frame. A magnetic control system helps manage the cast, and the instant-stop anti-reverse and five bearings keep the handle feel tidy. At about 7.9 ounces with an 18 lb drag, it suits anglers who want a light, fast reel for lures and lighter line.
Best for
- Bass fishing with flipping and pitching presentations
