Privacy policy
Last updated
This policy explains what information is collected when you visit First Cast Fishing (firstcastfishing.app) and what happens to it. First Cast Fishing is run by Rapid App Development, LLC (“we”), which is responsible for the information described here. You can reach us at info@rapidapp.dev.
What we collect
First Cast Fishing has no accounts, comments, forms or newsletter, so we never ask for your name, email address or other personal information. The site itself sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser.
If you email us, we receive your email address and what you write, and use them only to reply to you.
Hosting
The site is hosted by Vercel. Like any web server, it receives your IP address, your browser and device type, and the page you request with every visit. Vercel keeps these in logs for a short time to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
Analytics
First Cast Fishing uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages and links are used. It records the pages you view, the links you follow (including links to Amazon), your approximate location, and your browser and device. It does not tell us who you are. Google’s advertising features are turned off, so this data is not used for advertising.
Google Analytics sets cookies to tell one visit from another. It keeps data about individual visits for 2 months; after that, only totals remain, such as the number of visits to a page.
Google Analytics is not loaded at all when you visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, so no analytics data is collected about those visits. We tell where a visit comes from by the country of its internet connection.
Google processes this data for us under its own privacy policy. To keep Google Analytics from recording your visits to any site, install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Amazon
As an Amazon Associate First Cast Fishing earns a commission when you buy through links on this site, at no extra cost to you.
Product images on this site load directly from Amazon’s servers, so Amazon receives your IP address, your browser type and the address of the page when you view a page that shows products.
When you follow a link to Amazon, Amazon places or reads cookies in your browser to record that you came from this site. Third parties, including Amazon, may serve content, collect information directly from visitors, and place or recognize cookies on visitors’ browsers. What Amazon does with this information is covered by the Amazon.com Privacy Notice.
Selling and sharing
We do not sell your personal information, share it for targeted advertising, or use it to build a profile of you.
Do Not Track
Browsers can send a Do Not Track signal. There is no agreed standard for responding to it, so the site works the same whether or not your browser sends one.
Children
First Cast Fishing is meant for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your choices and rights
You can block or delete cookies in your browser’s settings at any time.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, and to object to how it is used. Apart from emails you send us, we hold nothing that identifies you, so there is usually nothing we can match to you. To make a request, email info@rapidapp.dev.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, we keep hosting logs because we have a legitimate interest in running the site and keeping it secure, and we answer emails because you asked us to. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
