Quick take
Compact ice fishing combo with aluminum reel and solid Toray blank for jigging beneath the ice.
This is a spinning ice combo from 13 Fishing built around a short longstem rod, about 25 inches long with medium power. The reel pairs with a Toray blank and an aluminum spool, with five bearings and instant anti-reverse. It suits anglers who want a ready-to-fish setup for bass or panfish through the ice.
Best for
- Ice fishing for panfish and bass through holes
- Jigging with small spoons and jigs under the ice
- Anglers new to ice fishing looking for a complete setup
Skip if
- You fish open water in summer
- You need a longer rod for shore-based applications
Strengths
- Compact 25-inch length maneuvers easily in tight ice shanty spaces
- Aluminum spool and solid Toray blank provide durability in cold
- Five ball bearings and anti-reverse deliver smooth jigging action
Trade-offs
- Short rod length limits casting distance if used in open water
- Medium power suits panfish better than large pike or walleye
