Quick take
A soft plastic creature with twin ridge tails and a ribbed body designed to pulse and sweep through grass, wood, and heavy cover.
This 6.5 inch creature bait in Black N' Blue Pro pairs a deeply ribbed body with oversized twin ridge tails that keep moving through the fall and during pauses. The ribbing displaces water and holds scent through repeated casts, and the body compresses for solid hook penetration on a single hook. Anglers working grass, wood and rock, or chasing bigger bass, can rig it on a Texas rig, a jig trailer or a free rig.
Best for
- Flipping and pitching heavy cover
- Dragging across structure and rock
- Fishing with a jig head for downsized presentations
Skip if
- You fish open water without structure
- You need a lure that sinks quickly
Strengths
- Twin tails continue moving on the fall and during pauses
- Deeply ribbed body displaces water and retains scent
- Flared appendages add secondary movement as it falls
Trade-offs
- Soft body requires careful hook penetration rigging
- Molded ribs can tear or compress with heavy use
- Small 3.5-inch size may be passed by larger bass

About this type
A lure is an artificial bait that draws a strike with its shape, color and movement.
Each kind is built for certain depths and ways of fishing.
Weight decides how far a lure casts and what rod and line it needs; color changes how visible it is in the water.
