Quick take
A compact 2 in finesse minnow with a tall profile and thin belly, sized for crappie and panfish.
The Ghost Ice Minnow colorway is a 2-inch soft plastic minnow, sold 12 to a pack. Its tall, thick body is meant to resemble bluegill and shad forage, and its thin belly folds when a fish takes it. The profile shows up on forward-facing sonar, and the bait suits crappie, bass and panfish.
Best for
- Vertical jigging for crappie under docks
- Finesse presentations on light jig heads
- Clear water where fish are sight-feeding
Skip if
- You need large lures for bigger bass
- You fish in thick cover where snags are common
Strengths
- Collapsible belly improves hook-up ratio on small hooks
- Tall profile shows detail that crappie notice
- Forward-facing sonar visibility helps detect strikes
Trade-offs
- 2 in size limits range and fish species
- Soft plastic durability decreases with repeated catches
- Belly design means lure sits in water differently when rigged

About this type
A lure is an artificial bait that draws a strike with its shape, color and movement.
Each kind is built for certain depths and ways of fishing.
Weight decides how far a lure casts and what rod and line it needs; color changes how visible it is in the water.
