Quick take
A detailed soft swimbait with lifelike coloration and balanced design that swims naturally on a steady retrieve or drop.
The 5-inch Live Bluegill swimbait comes three to a pack and is aimed at anglers after bass, crappie and walleye. Its bluegill finish and lifelike scaling are meant to resemble a forage fish that predators feed on. It suits finesse rigs and moving presentations, including hover rigs, drop shots and slow rolls.
Best for
- Versatile freshwater applications from hover rigs to drop shots
- Anglers targeting bass and walleye with finesse techniques
- Situations where subtle, natural action triggers strikes
Skip if
- You need a noisy or flashy lure for murky water
- You fish saltwater or very large predators
Strengths
- Detailed scaling and pattern replicate real baitfish closely
- Multiple sizes allow rigging on different jig head weights
- Balanced design swims true at various speeds

About this type
A lure is an artificial bait that draws a strike with its shape, color and movement.
Each kind is built for certain depths and ways of fishing.
Weight decides how far a lure casts and what rod and line it needs; color changes how visible it is in the water.
