Quick take
Durable round baitcaster with synchronized level wind and multi-disc drag for smooth casting and fighting fish.
This is a round-profile Ambassadeur baitcaster in the 7000 size, built around a machined aluminum spool and a Duragear brass main gear. A 4.11:1 gear ratio brings in about 22 inches of line per crank, and the multi-disc drag tops out at 20 pounds. Anglers who like the feel of a classic round reel for heavier line, with room for 515 yards of 30 lb braid, will find a familiar setup here. This left-hand-retrieve version has an extended bent handle with a power knob.
Best for
- Conventional casting techniques for bass and walleye
