Quick take

Fast-action medium-heavy casting rod with graphite construction and EVA split grip for sensitive hooksets on reaction baits and jigs.

This is a one-piece, 7'10" casting rod in medium-heavy power with a fast action, built around a 30-ton graphite blank. It carries a split-grip EVA handle, a skeleton reel seat and 13 guides with zirconium inserts. A 5/16 to 1 oz lure range suits bass anglers working reaction baits, and the Mike Iaconelli signature design gives it a clear bass focus.

Best for

  • Bass fishing with crankbaits and reaction baits
  • Flipping and pitching jigs into cover
  • Anglers needing medium-heavy power with tip sensitivity

Skip if

  • You fish exclusively light tackle or finesse
  • You target large saltwater species

Strengths

  • Robotically optimized ROCS construction maximizes casting distance
  • 30-ton graphite and Powerlux 200 resin offer impact resistance
  • 13 guides with zirconium inserts handle aggressive fighting

Trade-offs

  • Medium-heavy power limits use of ultralight tackle
  • Fast action focuses feel toward the tip
  • One-piece construction limits transport and travel
