Quick take

Balanced ice jigging minnow with sonic rattle and glow finish for visibility and sound attraction.

The Acme 2.5-inch jigging minnow pairs a swimming profile with a built-in sonic rattle chamber meant to draw fish in from farther away. Its HD2 finish adds glow and UV visibility for low light and deeper water. The Perch Chrome color is aimed at anglers targeting perch.

Best for

  • Ice jigging for panfish and perch
  • Low-light conditions under thick ice
  • Calling fish from distance with sonic vibrations

Skip if

  • You fish shallow ice water where lure visibility dominates
  • You prefer silent lures that avoid spooking active bites

Strengths

  • Balanced jigging minnow shape provides realistic swimming motion
  • Built-in rattle attracts fish from greater distances
  • Glow and UV finish increases visibility in dark under-ice conditions

Trade-offs

  • Built-in rattle chamber limits customization
  • Sonic vibrations can spook sensitive fish on some days
  • Heavier design suited to deeper water than ultralight presentations

About this type

A lure is an artificial bait that draws a strike with its shape, color and movement.

Each kind is built for certain depths and ways of fishing.

Weight decides how far a lure casts and what rod and line it needs; color changes how visible it is in the water.
