Quick take
A 5 ft radius cast net in six panels with chip-resistant vinyl-coated steel weights, sized for 1 to 5 inch bait in any depth.
This 5-foot clear monofilament cast net is built for throwing bait in shallow water. It has 3/8 inch square mesh, six panels, vinyl coated steel weights and a 24-foot handline on a swivel. It comes in a reusable hard plastic container for storage between trips.
Best for
- Experienced cast net anglers
- Catching bait in deep water
- Repeated daily use in professional bait gathering
Skip if
- You have never thrown a cast net
- You fish narrow creeks or heavily obstructed water
Strengths
- Vinyl-coated weights resist chipping on rocks and bottom
- Six-panel design is stronger than simpler cuts
- 5 ft radius covers more water than smaller nets
Trade-offs
- At 5 ft radius, this net is heavy and requires a strong throw
- The larger coverage means it tangles more easily on snags
- Six panels take longer to untangle and dry
Fishing fit
- Skill level
- Intermediate
