Quick take
A 30-pack of large offset circle hooks size 8/0 with ultra-sharp black nickel finish, made for big catfish and large saltwater baits.
This circle hook has an offset point angled off its shank, a design that turns the hook toward the corner of the jaw as a fish takes cut or dead bait. Its black nickel finish and high carbon steel build suit anglers fishing bottom rigs and chunk baits for larger species. The bulk pack holds 30 hooks in size 8/0.
Best for
- Big catfish on the Mississippi and other large rivers
- Chunked baits and large live baitfish
- Anglers targeting trophy-class freshwater and saltwater species
Skip if
- You fish small baits or finesse rigs
- You target panfish and small game fish
Strengths
- Offset point hooks better into the corner of a fish's mouth
- Large hook gap accommodates bulky baits and handles strong jaw pressure
- High carbon steel and black nickel finish resist rust in saltwater
Trade-offs
- Size 8/0 is too large for small baits and most panfish
- Large gap and offset design make these hooks harder to set on light strikes
- Ultra-sharp points dull quickly when bouncing on rocky bottom
