Quick take
A floating 1 oz topwater buzzbait that produces a wobble and can be paused near cover.
This Junior Buzz Plug in the Rat color is a floating topwater prop bait about 2 3/8 inches long and 5/8 ounce. The front prop adds buzzbait-style surface action, and the body floats so it can sit still between pulls. Its upturned double hook makes it a fit for bass in weedy cover.
Best for
- Bass fishing in weedbeds and heavy cover
- Topwater bite in early morning and evening
- Shallow coves and lily pad edges
Skip if
- You fish open water where stealth matters
- You need a compact lure for tight spaces
Strengths
- Front blade rises out of water when paused, positioning hook right
- Double hook reduces missed strikes and is nearly weedless
- 1 oz weight balances casting distance with topwater action
Trade-offs
- Large 2 7/8 in profile may spook clear water bass
- Blade creates noise that works some days and not others
- Double hook can snag on floating vegetation
