Quick take
Ultra-light weedless jig heads with rubber skirts, sized for small soft plastics and tight cover.
This Arkie ball head jig weighs one sixteenth of an ounce and comes in a pack of ten, with a gold #2 hook. A twisted-wire weed guard sits over the hook point, so the jig can work through brush and rocky cover. It suits bass anglers who want a small, compact weedless jig for tight spots.
Best for
- Bass fishing in thick weeds and shallow brush
- Flipping light tackle to cover where heavier lures snag
- Anglers who want a complete jig-and-skirt combo
Skip if
- You fish deep water or open water where light jigs fall slowly
- You prefer painted heads without rubber skirts
Strengths
- 1/16 oz size lets you fish ultra-light in shallow cover
- Weedless design cuts through grass and branches
- Rubber skirt adds color and motion without separate rigging
Trade-offs
- Light weight means slow fall and less distance casting
- Rubber skirt can tear and fray, requiring replacement
- Works mainly for small bass and panfish, not bigger species
