Quick take
A 547-yard spool of 9-strand braided line with thin diameter, smooth casting surface, and zero stretch.
This blue Ashconfish braided line comes in a 30 lb test with 547 yards on the spool and a 0.23 mm diameter. Its nine-strand construction adds a core strand for a smooth surface that suits longer casts. Anglers fishing fresh or salt water around rocks and structure can spool it for a thin, low-visibility line.
Best for
- Long-distance casting and lure feel
- Fishing structure and heavy cover where sensitivity is key
- Pairing with fluorocarbon leader in clear water
Skip if
- You fish monofilament only; braided requires different knots
- You fish weedy water where line visibility draws strikes
Strengths
- 9-strand construction is smoother than 8-strand braids
- Thin diameter reduces spool volume while holding strength
- Zero stretch transmits every lure vibration to the angler
Trade-offs
- Blue color is visible in clear water; leader highly recommended
- Braided line requires specialized casting reel and rod guides
Fishing fit
- Water
- Freshwater
- Saltwater
