Quick take
Soft nylon squares for securing salmon eggs, liver and cut bait to hooks while releasing scent.
This is a roll of soft nylon netting for tying your own bait sacs, 3 inches wide and 16 feet long, in pink. Cut a square, wrap it around salmon eggs, liver or other soft bait, and gather it onto a hook. It suits trout, salmon and steelhead anglers who like to tie fresh sacs on the bank.
Best for
- Salmon and steelhead fishing with eggs or soft bait
- Trout under floats with dough or liver
- Bottom fishing for catfish with cut bait
Skip if
- You use hard bait or pellets that don't need netting
- You fish artificial lures exclusively
Strengths
- Super soft material doesn't crush eggs or soft bait
- Nylon squares keep bait secure while allowing scent dispersal
- Compact roll stores easily in tackle box
Trade-offs
- Soft material tears easily on sharp objects or rocks
- Requires knot-tying skill to secure to hook
- Bait inside still degrades and requires frequent replacement
