Quick take
A 12-13 foot furled tenkara line with 6-tape construction and continuous strand PET material for precision casting.
This 13-foot furled tenkara line comes at one fixed length, so the reach you buy is the reach you fish. Furled lines are the heaviest of the tenkara line types and are harder to keep off the water, so pair this orange and black line with a rod about as long as the line or longer.
Best for
- Tenkara or fixed-line fly fishing methods
- Mountain streams and small tight-water creeks
- Anglers seeking sensitive, direct presentation
Skip if
- You use modern Western fly reels
- You need long-distance casting
Strengths
- 6-tape design balances stiffness and sensitivity for accurate casting
- Furled construction eliminates hollow-core line problems
- Continuous strand removes splicing issues
Trade-offs
- Tenkara lines require tenkara rods, not standard fly rods
- Shorter length limits reach on larger water
- Requires different presentation style than Western fly fishing
