Quick take
Pre-assembled steel leaders with rotating swivels and snaps, 40 lb test, for toothy fish that bite through monofilament.
A 12-inch silver steel leader rated at 40 lb, with swivels and snaps for quick bait changes. It suits anglers who fish fresh or salt water and want a wire section between the main line and a lure or hook, especially where toothy fish such as pike or catfish are in play. The 60-piece pack keeps a supply of leaders in the tackle box.
Best for
- Pike and musky rigs to prevent bite-offs
- Catfish setups with live bait
- Anglers who want quick-change leader assemblies
Skip if
- You fish species that will not bite through line
- You prefer a lighter, less visible leader
Strengths
- Stainless steel resists teeth and abrasion from rough mouths
- Rotating swivel reduces line twist on spinner and jig rigs
- Pre-assembled with snap for quick lure changes without retying
Trade-offs
- Steel wire is more visible to fish than monofilament or fluorocarbon
- Swivels add weight and drag compared to single-strand leader
- 12 inch length is fixed; you cannot adjust to conditions
