Quick take
A thin, strong thermally fused braided line with high sensitivity and fast casting characteristics.
Berkley FireLine Fused Original is a braided line for anglers who want a thin, low-visibility line that casts far and handles smoothly. This 8 lb test in smoke comes on a 125-yard spool, a size that suits spinning and baitcasting reels for lure work around cover or in clear water. Pick it when a light, smooth-handling braid fits how you fish.
Best for
- Anglers who want thin diameter without sacrificing strength
- Situations requiring high sensitivity to bottom structure
- Casting distance and lure action
Skip if
- You fish heavy cover where line visibility matters less
- You prefer monofilament line's stretch and forgiveness
Strengths
- Thin diameter for the 8 lb strength casts farther than mono
- Thermally fused construction is smoother and more durable than conventional braid
- High sensitivity for detecting subtle bottom changes
Trade-offs
- Braided line is visible to fish in clear water
- No stretch means harder hooksets required

- Freshwater
