Quick take

An underspin jig with a willow blade that flashes on the fall for subtle bottom presentations with soft plastics.

Best for

  • Finesse bass fishing in clear water
  • Vertical presentations over structure
  • Panfish in shallow lakes

Skip if

  • You need maximum casting distance
  • You fish stained water where blade flash matters less

Strengths

  • Willow blade provides flash and vibration on a slow fall
  • Ball bearing swivel allows the blade to turn at slow speeds
  • Conical bait keeper holds plastics securely through the cast

Trade-offs

  • Underspin design is less snag-resistant than standard jigs
  • Blade adds complexity compared to plain jig heads
  • Best used with smaller soft plastic trailers
