Quick take

1 inch artificial worms soaked in fish-attracting scent, ready to rig like live bait.

This one-inch soft bait is shaped like an angle worm and sold in a natural color in a jar. It is made for panfish and trout, and it rigs the way a live worm does. The bait comes pre-soaked in an attractant that keeps releasing scent, and returning it to the jar restores that scent for the next trip.

Best for

Panfish and trout in ponds and streams
Drop shot and finesse rigs
Anglers avoiding live bait handling

Skip if

You prefer traditional live earthworms
You fish species that need larger presentations

Strengths

Scent disperses into the water to attract fish from distance
Can be recharged by placing back in the bucket
Soft plastic material won't slip off the hook like live bait

Trade-offs

Some fish prefer live worms despite the scent
Softness means the bait tears easily with aggressive fish
Requires keeping the jar sealed when not in use
