Quick take
2-inch floating soft plastic worms soaked in Gulp scent for trout and panfish on light line.
This 2-inch floating trout worm in bubblegum rides above the bottom, where trout can spot it at a distance. Its body is soaked in attractant, and returning it to the jar between outings renews the scent. It suits trout anglers on spinning gear, from first-timers to seasoned anglers.
Best for
- Trout under a float with split shot
- Panfish in ponds and small lakes
- Finesse rigs with small jig heads
Skip if
- You need worms that sink for deep water
- You want a realistic look over scent
Strengths
- Floating action keeps worms suspended at a chosen depth
- Gulp scent attracts fish and triggers strikes
- Soft plastic holds up to multiple strikes and can be recharged in the jar
Trade-offs
- Floating design means you need a float or jig head to position it
- Scent wears off over time and requires recharging in the jar
- 2 inches is small and works best for trout and small panfish

About this type
A lure is an artificial bait that draws a strike with its shape, color and movement.
Each kind is built for certain depths and ways of fishing.
Weight decides how far a lure casts and what rod and line it needs; color changes how visible it is in the water.
