Quick take
Soft plastic worm designed to imitate live sandworms with natural scent for saltwater bottom feeding fish.
The Berkley Gulp! Sandworm in natural is a 6-inch soft plastic worm with a tapered body and many legs, shaped to resemble the sandworms gamefish feed on along sandy bottoms. A slow, unhurried presentation along the bottom suits its profile. Anglers can cut it shorter or add a stinger hook when they want a different hook-up set.
Best for
- Striped bass and sea bass along rocky shores
- Slow drifting near structure and bottom ledges
- Rigs fished under floats in bay systems
Skip if
- You fish fast-moving water where larger profiles work better
- You prefer solid lures that don't deteriorate quickly
Strengths
- Realistic sandworm shape and coloring attracts cautious fish
- Gulp scent dispersal expands strike zone significantly
- Durable plastic resists damage better than live bait
Trade-offs
- Scent strength weakens with extended sun exposure

About this type
A lure is an artificial bait that draws a strike with its shape, color and movement.
Each kind is built for certain depths and ways of fishing.
Weight decides how far a lure casts and what rod and line it needs; color changes how visible it is in the water.
