Quick take
A floating trout worm with lifelike scent and texture in fluorescent orange, sized for light line and finesse techniques.
This natural Berkley Gulp! trout worm is 2.5 inches long and comes as a pack of 20. Its floating build keeps it above bottom debris, and its shorter, fatter body suits wacky rigging for trout, panfish and other small-target fish.
Best for
- Finesse-rigged trout setups
- Wacky rigging on light line
- Clear water or spooky trout
Skip if
- You want a sinking worm for bottom contact
- You fish heavy cover; this worm is fragile
Strengths
- Scent dispersion expands the strike zone beyond visual range
- Floating design allows the worm to ride up off the bottom in a wacky rig
- Color choice includes fluorescent orange for high visibility in stained water
Trade-offs
- Soft plastic tears easily compared to hardier lure materials; plan for frequent replacement
- Floating design means slower drop; not ideal for fishing deep structure
- Scent attracts fish but fades with multiple casts; effectiveness decreases during a session

About this type
