Quick take
A soft plastic forage imitation with a flow-through flux design that disperses scent while the body quivers on the fall.
This 3.5-inch soft plastic panfish imitation comes in a pack of 6 in a Smoke Black Blue Gold finish, aimed at bass. Its open, flow-through body lets water pass through while releasing scent and adding a quiver. It suits slow presentations like mid-strolling, free-rigging or dead sticking.
Best for
- Pressured water where standard baits get ignored
- Mid-strolling or slow trolling for bass
- Dead sticking on the bottom for inactive fish
Skip if
- You fish hard-biting conditions; this slow-falling soft plastic is for reluctant fish
- You prefer hard lures; this is soft plastic only
Strengths
- Flow-through flux body constantly disperses fresh scent from the center
- Multiple sizes and color options match different forage base and water clarity
- Versatile rigging: cast weightless, free-rig on a jig, or bottom fish
Trade-offs
- Soft plastic lure durability is shorter than hard plastics; repeated fish bites shred the tail
- MaxScent formula fades after multiple outings
- Heavy reliance on scent means freshness matters; older lures are less effective

About this type
A lure is an artificial bait that draws a strike with its shape, color and movement.
Each kind is built for certain depths and ways of fishing.
Weight decides how far a lure casts and what rod and line it needs; color changes how visible it is in the water.
