Quick take
A 4-inch soft plastic creature with PowerBait scent impregnation, designed to keep fish biting longer.
This is a 4-inch crawfish-style soft plastic in green pumpkin, sold as a pack of 9. Its pinchers and extra legs move on the fall and on a slow drag or a quick buzz, and the body carries PowerBait scent. Rig it Texas style, on a Carolina rig, a jig head or behind a football jig for bass.
Best for
- Bass fishing with drop-shot or finesse rigs
- Crappie and small panfish in brush and timber
- Anglers using scent-based presentations for more hookups
Skip if
- You prefer lures without scent; the coating washes off
- You fish in very cold water where scent dispersal is slow
Strengths
- PowerBait scent and flavor trigger longer bites
- Compact 4-inch size works on light jigs and drop-shot hooks
- Proven color gets results in a range of water conditions
Trade-offs
- Scent-impregnated coating washes off after several fish
- Soft plastic degrades faster than regular lures
- Sticky scent coating can attract debris in murky water

About this type
A lure is an artificial bait that draws a strike with its shape, color and movement.
Each kind is built for certain depths and ways of fishing.
Weight decides how far a lure casts and what rod and line it needs; color changes how visible it is in the water.
