Quick take
A three-inch soft plastic mouse bait with PowerBait scent, designed for trout and panfish under a float.
This is a 3-inch floating soft bait in Glow, sold as a 13-piece pack. A ball head takes the hook while the tail trails behind, a shape aimed at trout, crappie and other panfish. The floating body rides above the bottom in the water column.
Best for
- Trout in streams and small ponds
- Panfish and crappie in shallow water
- Float fishing setups in light current
Skip if
- You need a lure for heavy vegetation
- You prefer larger baits for bigger fish
Strengths
- Lightweight floating body is easy to suspend under a float at specific depths
- PowerBait formula includes scent that attracts fish through smell
- The lifelike tail action mimics small crawfish and insect larvae
Trade-offs
- The 3-inch size is small; large trout often ignore this profile
- Soft plastic degrades quickly; replace every few outings
- PowerBait scent washes out within an hour of fishing, requiring frequent reapplication

About this type
A lure is an artificial bait that draws a strike with its shape, color and movement.
Each kind is built for certain depths and ways of fishing.
Weight decides how far a lure casts and what rod and line it needs; color changes how visible it is in the water.
