Quick take
Dough bait with glitter and scent additives to attract game fish through visual and olfactory stimulation.
Berkley's PowerBait Glitter Chroma-Glow Dough is a chartreuse dough bait with glitter, packed in a 1.75-ounce jar. It carries added scent and flavor enhancers and can be pressed or rolled onto a hook for trout and other stream or pond fishing. It suits anglers who want a soft, sparkly bait they can size by hand.
Best for
- Trout and panfish in streams and lakes
- Still-water fishing from shore or boat
Skip if
- You prefer worms or live bait for catch-and-release
- You fish moving water where dough disperses quickly
Strengths
- Glitter particles create a visible sparkle trail in the water
- Scent and flavor enhancers disperse to attract fish from distance
- Stays moldable and can be reapplied to hooks
Trade-offs
- More difficult to keep on the hook during repeated casts than hard baits
- Works mainly in calmer water where the dough stays cohesive
- Remains effective only while scent disperses into the water
