Quick take
A salmon egg-scented glitter dough bait for trout in streams, ponds and lakes, packaged in a 1.75 oz jar.
This Berkley PowerBait dough pairs a salmon egg scent with Crystalina glitter in a peach tone. It comes in a 1.75 ounce jar aimed at trout. Fish it still on the bottom with a weight, or let it float up into the strike zone.
Best for
- Trout fishing in moving water and still water
- Float rigs and simple bottom setups
- Anglers targeting stocked and wild trout
Skip if
- You fish for species other than trout
- You prefer live bait or artificial lures
Strengths
- Salmon egg scent is proven attractant for all trout species
- Glitter adds visibility in stained or moving water
- Soft dough stays on hook easily and holds well
Trade-offs
- May dissolve quickly in fast-moving water
- Glitter effects diminish after the bait has been soaked
- Not effective at night or in very clear water where scent alone matters more
