Quick take
One-inch soft plastic worm with scent formula, designed for panfish and small gamefish.
The Berkley PowerBait Power Honey Worm is a one-inch scented soft-plastic bait in a natural color, shaped like an insect larva. It suits panfish such as bluegill, crappie and perch, and you can rig it the way you would live bait under a bobber or through the ice. A jar holds 55 worms, so you can keep a small panfish kit stocked.
Best for
- Panfish under a bobber
- Bluegill and crappie on small jigs
- Ice fishing for perch
Skip if
- You target large bass requiring larger baits
- You prefer natural live bait
Strengths
- Scent formula attracts fish and encourages holding on longer
- Soft plastic lasts through multiple fish unlike live worms
- Natural color matches small insect larvae
Trade-offs
- The scent fades after sitting open in air
- Soft texture tears easily on aggressive fish
- Smaller size limits the species you can target
