Quick take
A 6 in soft plastic lizard with flailing legs and tail and infused PowerBait scent to attract bass on a rig.
This is a 6-inch soft plastic lizard in a black-blue color, sold as a 9-piece pack. The classic salamander profile has a lengthened tail and legs that flail on both fast and slow retrieves, and the scent-infused material suits Texas rigs, drop shots and Carolina rigs. It is a familiar choice for bass anglers working cover and bottom.
Best for
- Bass in heavy cover that need aggressive action
- Texas rigs and drop-shot presentations
- Anglers who want a soft bait with added scent
Skip if
- You fish open water where a compact lure works better
- You prefer hard baits over soft plastics
Strengths
- PowerBait scent triggers strikes from reluctant bass
- Legs and tail create flailing action during retrieves
- Works rigged in multiple ways: Texas, drop-shot, or free-rigged
Trade-offs
- Soft plastic gets nicked by teeth and rocks on each cast
- Lizard shape works best for bass; less versatile for other species
- Pack of 9 runs out quickly on rocky bottom

About this type
A lure is an artificial bait that draws a strike with its shape, color and movement.
Each kind is built for certain depths and ways of fishing.
Weight decides how far a lure casts and what rod and line it needs; color changes how visible it is in the water.
