Quick take
Soft plastic tube lures with Berkley PowerBait scent that make bass hold onto the bait longer, increasing bite-to-hookup ratio.
The Berkley PowerBait Power Tube is a 2.5-inch hollow soft tube in the Goby Magic color, made to slide over a tube jig. Its many tentacles give a lively, subtle movement, and the body collapses easily when a fish takes it, which suits anglers working tube jigs for bass. It also comes in larger 3.5 and 4.5 inch sizes, so anglers can scale the same profile to match their target fish.
Best for
- Bass fishing on light line with small tubes
- Beginners learning to rig and fish soft plastics
- Finesse situations where subtle presentations work better
Skip if
- You fish heavy cover requiring weightier lures
- You prefer crawfish or worm-shaped baits
Strengths
- PowerBait scent and flavor makes fish hold longer
- 10 per package gives good supply
- Soft plastic easily rips and tears, simulating damaged prey
Trade-offs

About this type
A lure is an artificial bait that draws a strike with its shape, color and movement.
Each kind is built for certain depths and ways of fishing.
Weight decides how far a lure casts and what rod and line it needs; color changes how visible it is in the water.
