Quick take
100% fluorocarbon line with near-invisibility, fast sink rate and no water absorption for sensitive presentation.
Trilene Big Game Fluorocarbon in 20 lb test is a clear, single-strand line made entirely of fluorocarbon. It sinks fast, resists abrasion and holds its strength when wet, which suits anglers fishing around rock, wood or other rough cover. The 350-yard spool gives plenty of line for refilling a reel or two.
Best for
- Clear water where fish can see the line
- Saltwater and freshwater species
- Anglers who want invisible leader or main line
Skip if
- You need a stretchy line to absorb shock
- You are casting for maximum distance on light tackle
Strengths
- Fluorocarbon is nearly invisible underwater
- Does not absorb water so sensitivity and strength stay constant
- Sinks faster than monofilament for deep presentations
Trade-offs
- Stiffer than monofilament, harder to tie knots
- Requires stronger knots due to reduced stretch
Fishing fit
- Water
- Freshwater
- Saltwater
