Quick take
A 650-yard spool of Berkley Trilene 20 lb clear monofilament, formulated for knot strength and abrasion resistance.
This is a 650-yard spool of Berkley Trilene Big Game monofilament in clear, with a 20 lb line test and a 0.018 inch diameter. It suits anglers who want a sturdy single-strand mono for heavier freshwater or saltwater setups. The clear color blends into the water, which helps when you want the line to be less noticeable.
Best for
- All-purpose freshwater and saltwater spinning
- Bass and pike fishing in moderate structure
- Anglers who want balanced line strength without overkill
Skip if
- You fish very light line or ultra-heavy line exclusively
- You want braided line for maximum strength
Strengths
- Clear color reduces visibility in clear water
- Custom blend formula locks knots and resists abrasion
- 650-yard length is enough for many outings before respooling
Trade-offs
- Monofilament has stretch; less sensitive than braided line
- 20 lb test is mid-range; not ideal for very small or very large fish
- Clear color is still visible to pressured fish in ultra-clear water
Fishing fit
- Water
- Saltwater
- Freshwater
