Quick take

A 9-strand braided line with 100% PE fibers for smooth, long casts and high strength per diameter.

Best for

  • Anglers who need maximum distance without heavy line
  • Bass and pike fishing in grass and cover
  • Light-tackle applications where casting distance matters

Skip if

  • You prefer monofilament's stretch and forgivingness
  • You fish primarily with topwater lures that require slack line

Strengths

  • 9-strand construction casts smoothly and smoothly through guides
  • High strength-to-diameter ratio allows thinner line on small reels
  • 100% PE fibers resist UV and provide exceptional durability

Trade-offs

  • Braided line requires a backing layer to prevent slipping on the spool
  • Line twist can occur without a swivel and the line is harder to manage
  • More visible than monofilament in clear water despite low-vis colors
