Quick take

Complete travel baitcasting combo with telescopic rod, reel, and tackle accessories in a carrier bag.

This BETTER LEADER combo pairs a telescopic carbon fiber rod with a baitcasting reel that has a 7.1 gear ratio. The rod runs about 2.1 meters and collapses to roughly 1.35 feet, so it slips into a backpack or car trunk. It is a medium-power setup for anglers who want a baitcasting outfit they can carry on trips for freshwater or saltwater.

Best for

  • Anglers who travel and fly fish
  • Bass and pike in freshwater
  • Saltwater inshore fishing
