Quick take
A triangular floating net with neoprene foam edges and a telescopic aluminum handle, sized for kayak and boat fishing.
This folding landing net has a triangular 16 by 16 inch hoop with neoprene foam edging, so it floats if it slips from a kayak or small boat. The rubber-coated mesh has no hooks to snag, which suits catch and release. The aluminum telescopic handle locks with a rotary switch and extends to about 39 inches, then folds down for storage. It works for both fresh and salt water.
Best for
- Kayak fishing for bass and catfish
- Anglers who regularly drop nets in water
- Compact boat storage
Skip if
- You need a hoop larger than 16 x 16 in
- You fish large rivers where you need deep reach
Strengths
- Floating design means you can retrieve it even from deep water
- Triangular shape gives more netting area per hoop width
- Aerospace-grade aluminum is lightweight and durable
Trade-offs
