Quick take

A 67 in landing net with soft rubber mesh and a three-piece aluminum handle, built for bass, trout and catfish in boats and from shore.

This Blue Billow landing net pairs an aluminum handle that extends to 67 inches with a soft rubber mesh, a kind of mesh many anglers like for catch and release. The hoop measures about 18.5 by 23.6 inches, and the net folds down to roughly 23.6 inches for carrying. At about 720 grams, it suits anglers fishing from a kayak, boat, bank or stream who want reach for bass, trout or catfish.

Best for

Boat fishing for largemouth and catfish
Extended reach from shore or wading
Catch-and-release fishing

Skip if

You fish brushy streams and need compact size
You want a lightweight net for backpacking

Strengths

Soft rubber mesh lands fish without tangling hooks
67 in total length gives you reach into deep water
Three-piece handle is rigid and does not flex

Trade-offs

At 67 in extended and 720 g, this is heavy to hold all day
Folded size at 23.6 in is still large for kayaks
Rubber mesh becomes waterlogged and feels heavy when wet

Species: Bass
Trout
Catfish
Salmon & steelhead
Water: Freshwater
