Quick take
A classic Blue Fox inline spinner with a machined brass body, free-turning brass gear, and painted blade for legendary flash and action.
This 7/16 oz Blue Fox Classic Vibrax is an inline spinner in a Firetiger paint scheme, with a free-turning blade and a machined brass body. The brass gear inside rattles against the body to add vibration and cut line twist. It suits anglers working shallow water, roughly 2 to 6 feet down, for trout, bass and other species that react to flash.
Best for
- Trout in streams and small rivers
- Panfish and light freshwater fishing
- Anglers who want a legendary, time-tested lure
Skip if
- You fish heavy water where weight and distance matter
- You prefer modern composite spinners with reduced twist
Strengths
- Machined brass body and gear create vibration and rattle on retrieve
- Free-turning brass gear reduces line twist compared to direct-drive designs
- Painted blade finish is durable and doesn't tarnish like copper
Trade-offs
- Brass body is heavier and darker; doesn't cast as far as lighter spinners
- Brass oxidizes and dulls over time; requires periodic cleaning
- Internal rattles can spook wary trout in clear water

About this type
A lure is an artificial bait that draws a strike with its shape, color and movement.
Each kind is built for certain depths and ways of fishing.
Weight decides how far a lure casts and what rod and line it needs; color changes how visible it is in the water.
