Quick take
An 8.4 in stainless steel pliers that combines hook removal, line cutting and crimping in one tool.
This 8.4-inch long-nose fishing plier from Bneajix is a multi-function tool that handles hook removal, line cutting and crimping. The extended nose keeps your fingers back from the hook, and the stainless steel body is aimed at both saltwater and freshwater use. Ergonomic handles help with grip when your hands are wet, and the included lanyard keeps it tethered on a boat, kayak or the shore.
Best for
- Removing deeply hooked fish safely
- Working with small hooks in tight spaces
- Saltwater fishing where corrosion matters
Skip if
- You need lightweight pliers for kayak fishing
- You handle mostly large fish with simple hooks
Strengths
- Extended 8.4 in reach keeps hands back from sharp hooks and thrashing fish
- Four functions in one tool save tackle box space and weight
- Stainless steel construction handles saltwater use
Trade-offs
- At 8.4 in it is longer than compact pliers and harder to pack
- The 420SS stainless rusts if not rinsed after saltwater use
- Multi-function design means each tool is not optimized for a single job
Fishing fit
- Water
- Freshwater
- Saltwater
