Quick take
Compact shad-shaped lure for crappie and panfish that skips under cover and works on drop-shot or jig rigs.
The Bobby Garland Crappie Shooter in Blue Ice is a 1.5-inch soft plastic shad-style bait sold in a pack of 15. Rigged flat, it darts and glides on the fall and skips across the surface under docks, and rigged upright it presents a bigger profile on a straight retrieve. Its pull tab lets an angler shoot it into tight cover where crappie hold.
Best for
- Shooting under dock edges and overhanging cover
- Drop-shot rigs in shallow water
- Crappie jigging in tight spaces
Skip if
- You need a lure that dives deep
- You are fishing open water where distance matters
Strengths
- Streamlined shape skips under structure
- Works rigged flat for darting action or upright for larger profile
- Realistic shad pattern matches natural crappie forage

About this type
A lure is an artificial bait that draws a strike with its shape, color and movement.
Each kind is built for certain depths and ways of fishing.
Weight decides how far a lure casts and what rod and line it needs; color changes how visible it is in the water.
