Quick take
An 18-pack of 2 inch soft plastic grubs with a distinctive hyper-action tail for crappie and panfish.
This is a 2-inch curly-tail grub from Bobby Garland, made for crappie fishing and sold in a pack of 18. The small body pairs with a curled tail that moves on a slow retrieve or a simple fall. This one comes in the Blue Ice color, a handy pick for anglers who rig jig heads for crappie.
Best for
- Vertical jigging on brush piles and standing timber
- Jig head presentations in spring crappie spawning areas
- Light spinning tackle and small rods
Skip if
- You want larger grubs for bass and catfish
- You fish lures where tail action is not needed
Strengths
- 2 inch size and body profile target crappie naturally
- Hyper tail action triggers bites from inactive fish
- 18-pack provides backups through a full season
Trade-offs
- 2 inch size is too small for most bass applications
- Hyper tail snags readily on submerged timber
- Blue Ice color blends in clear water; darker colors work better

About this type
A lure is an artificial bait that draws a strike with its shape, color and movement.
Each kind is built for certain depths and ways of fishing.
Weight decides how far a lure casts and what rod and line it needs; color changes how visible it is in the water.
