Tiny mayfly nymphs shaped for finesse jigging over crappie and panfish.
Best for
- Clear-water crappie jigging with ultralight jigheads
- Spring spawning season when crappie feed on small insects
- Pressured fish in clear lakes where subtle presentations work
Skip if
- You need a larger profile for muddier water conditions
- You fish in heavy weeds where small baits tangle easily
Strengths
- Natural insect profile with ribbed abdomen triggers reluctant crappie
- Fits size 6 hooks and smaller for finesse presentation
- Forked tail and leg details add subtle movement on the drop

About this type
A lure is an artificial bait that draws a strike with its shape, color and movement.
Each kind is built for certain depths and ways of fishing.
Weight decides how far a lure casts and what rod and line it needs; color changes how visible it is in the water.
