Quick take
A slender minnow topwater lure with advanced weight transfer system that produces a wide wobble and enhances casting distance in saltwater.
The 6-inch Bomber Long Shot weighs about 1 3/16 oz and is finished in a pale bone color. It is a slender, lipped minnow plug from a saltwater line, so it suits anglers who want a slightly more compact profile than the 7-inch size. Expect a wide, wobbling swim on the retrieve.
Best for
- Stripers and large mackerel in bays and open water
- Situations where aerodynamic casting distance is critical
- Windy conditions where aggressive, erratic action triggers strikes
Skip if
- You fish in tight, weedy areas where topwater snags
- You prefer subtle, finesse presentations
Strengths
- Weight transfer system enhances casting distance especially in wind
- Slender profile mimics a wounded baitfish and creates a wide wobble
- Robust saltwater hardware and 4X hooks handle aggressive strikes
Trade-offs
- Topwater action requires active fishing, not passive waiting
- Slender body limits effectiveness on very large saltwater species
- Best results with windy conditions; poor in glassy calm water

About this type
