Quick take

Lightweight crappie jig heads with barbed V-hooks, 3D eyes and wire lure keeper for soft plastic rigging.

This is a 40-piece set of 1/32 oz jig heads with spear-point carbon steel hooks, aimed at panfish, crappie and trout. Each head carries a wire keeper to hold soft plastics in place, and large eyes add a visual cue. It suits anglers who want a lot of light heads on hand for ultralight rigs.

Best for

  • Crappie jigging in shallow water
  • Spring and fall crappie patterns
  • Panfish on light spinning gear

Skip if

  • You prefer larger jig heads for heavier lures

Strengths

  • V-sharp barbed hook design increases hook-up rate
  • Wire lure keeper prevents soft bait sliding
  • 3D eyes attract fish in stained water

Trade-offs

  • Light weight requires delicate casting technique
  • Best suited to shallow freshwater lakes
  • Bright colors may spook clear-water fish

About this type

A lure is an artificial bait that draws a strike with its shape, color and movement.

Each kind is built for certain depths and ways of fishing.

Weight decides how far a lure casts and what rod and line it needs; color changes how visible it is in the water.
