Quick take
A stainless steel fish gripper with integrated spring scale, good for saltwater use.
The Booms Fishing G11 is a handheld fish gripper that clamps a fish by the lip so you can lift it without touching slippery skin. A spring scale built into the body reads weights up to 24 kg (52 lb), handy for a quick check before release. The body is 304 stainless steel with an anti-slip handle, suited to both freshwater and saltwater trips.
Best for
- Holding and weighing slippery fish at once
- Saltwater fishing trips
- Anglers wanting all-in-one tool
Skip if
- You prefer separate scale and gripper tools
- You catch only small panfish
Strengths
- 304 stainless steel body resists saltwater corrosion
- Spring scale integrated eliminates need for separate scale
- Anti-slip handle keeps grip secure on wet hands and slippery fish
Trade-offs
- Spring scale has less precision than digital scales
- Holding live fish in gripper and reading scale requires one hand
- 52 lb capacity insufficient for large saltwater species
Fishing fit
- Water
- Freshwater
- Saltwater
