Quick take
A 1/2 oz Tokyo rig with drop weights that bounce off structure and signal strikes through the line.
The 1/2 oz Booms Fishing TR1 Tokyo rig comes pre-rigged with brass bullet weights, a red bead, a barrel swivel and a 2/0 offset worm hook. Its wire dropper holds the weight above the hook, keeping a soft plastic bait off the bottom so it can move freely over rocks, docks and weeds. The four-pack adds spare hooks in 3/0, 2/0, 1/0 and 1 sizes for changing the setup. It suits bass anglers who want a ready-to-fish punch rig.
Best for
- Around docks and pilings in shallow water
- Rocky drop-offs and vegetation
- Fishing soft plastics over cover
Skip if
- You need a lightweight finesse rig under 1/4 oz
- You prefer traditional drop-shot or Ned rigs
Strengths
- Pre-rigged and ready to pair with soft plastics
- Drop weight bounces and creates attraction sounds
- Natural movement of plastic without heavy jig head
