Quick take
This Bozeman FlyWorks tippet is a 55-yard spool, about 50 meters, of fluorocarbon line in 5X, a fine size for the final section of a leader. The brand sells the same line across sizes from 0X to 6X, so it fits the range of tippet choices many anglers keep on hand. Pick it when you want a longer spool of fluorocarbon in a fine diameter for trout and panfish.
Best for
- Small to medium trout on delicate presentations
- Fly anglers building their own tapers
Skip if
- You target large trout or salmon
- You use pre-made leaders
Strengths
- 55 yards gives plenty of material for multiple leaders
- 5X diameter suits most trout streams
Trade-offs
