Quick take
Plastic round beads in ruby color that serve as bumpers, swivel stops, and weight protectors on rigs and lures.
These 8mm plastic round beads in ruby come in a pack of 60. Anglers thread them onto a rig to act as bumpers, to shield a swivel or knot, or to add a splash of color near the hook. A small pack like this suits steelhead, salmon and trout setups where you want to customize a leader.
Best for
- Adding visual appeal to leaders and rigs
- Protecting knots and swivel positions
- Fly tying and jig customization
Skip if
- You do not use multi-component rigs
- You prefer solid terminal tackle setups
Strengths
- Small 8mm size works with most hook and line sizes
- Plastic material does not rust or corrode
- 60-pack provides beads for dozens of rigs
Trade-offs
- Plastic may slide on wet line without secure knots
- Ruby color limits pattern customization
- Beads may catch and create drag on some presentations
Fishing fit
- Water
- Freshwater
- Saltwater
