Quick take

A lightweight 7-foot 2-piece graphite spinning rod with medium-fast action for freshwater and light saltwater fishing.

Best for

  • Bass, walleye, and trout in freshwater
  • Flounder in saltwater
  • All-day fishing sessions without rod fatigue

Skip if

  • You need a heavy saltwater rod
  • You fish very heavy cover

Strengths

  • 30-ton carbon blanks reduce weight for all-day comfort
  • Two-piece design breaks down for travel
  • Medium-fast action provides both sensitivity and power
  • Smooth stainless steel guides with SiC inserts

Trade-offs

  • Two-piece rods have a slight flex point at the joint
  • Medium-fast action may feel soft for very light lures
  • Carbon graphite requires care to avoid impact damage
