Quick take

Durable EVA foam covers that protect treble hooks from tangling tackle and snagging skin.

Treble hook covers keep sharp points out of a tackle box and off gear when you move between spots. This 30-piece set is made of EVA foam, in orange and yellow, and is sized for larger treble hooks from 2/0 to 4. The covers also keep baited treble hooks from tangling together in one box.

Best for

Protecting lures in a tackle box from tangling together
Separating treble-hooked lures during storage
Anglers who fish with kids and need to protect sharp hooks

Skip if

You use only single-hook soft plastics
Your tackle box has enough space for loose storage

Strengths

Hollow core design keeps hook points sharp by preventing contact
EVA foam is durable and won't crack after repeated use
Bright colors make covered hooks easy to find in a crowded box

Trade-offs

Caps add bulk to crankbaits and spinnerbaits during travel
Colors may loosen after years of use and removal
Does not prevent line tangles, only hardware tangles
